The CBRT (Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey) has announced its weekly money and banking statistics.
Accordingly, as of June 12, the Central Bank’s gross foreign exchange reserves decreased by $1 billion 130 million, dropping to $53 billion 124 million. Gross foreign exchange reserves stood at $54 billion 254 million on June 5.
During this period, gold reserves fell by $6 billion 213 million, declining from $105 billion 170 million to $98 billion 957 million.
Thus, the Central Bank’s total reserves decreased by $7 billion 343 million compared to the previous week, dropping from $159 billion 424 million to $152 billion 81 million in the week of June 12.
